STOP, THINK & THEN SPEAK !
Recently, while i had gone to a government department for some task, I found that, as usual, the lady employee looking after that particular work was not present, although half an hour or so had gone past the regular office time. 2-3 persons already in the office before me were seen impatiently looking at their wristwatches and muttering to themselves. another half an hour went on like this and the persons lost their cool and started shouting, criticising women in general and that lady in particular and raised a question, oft asked, as to why women go to work, if they are not able to carry out their job responsibility properly... meanwhile the noise subsided as the lady entered the room and completed the tasks before her deftly, with much speed. I came home pondering over this incident. Next day, in early morning hours, i had to visit a hospital for giving blood sample for medical check-up. While entering, i saw a couple coming out. The lady's face looked familiar & there was a smile on her face as well. After a memory search, I recollected that she was the lady employee of the govt.office! Upon enquiry, she told me that the aged, visibly sick person accompanying her was her husband suffering from acute diabetes, and needs an operation since past one year which he is unable to get done due to high sugar levels and has lost his job also due to his long absence from duty! So, my dear, for God's sake, STOP & THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK ! so i told myself and so i tell you, too !
